Quick answer
Pick one product family and one constraint that matters now. For every candidate, save the source URL, exact code, a plain description and the date you checked it. Remove the weak matches before asking about price, minimum quantity, options or shipping.
Choose the stage before choosing the product
Browsing
Learn the vocabulary, common forms and visible option patterns in one category.
Comparing
Use stable fields to reduce several plausible candidates to a small set.
Preparing a question
Turn one candidate into a product record with a specific unresolved field.
Not ready
Pause when the source, code or selected product cannot stay stable across pages.
Translate broad wholesale searches into a usable task
People searching for China wholesale products or wholesale products from China may want very different things: category discovery, a stable product list, low minimum quantities, a price basis or an international quote. Write the decision first so a broad China wholesale catalog does not become an endless browsing session.
| Search wording | Likely user need | Useful next record |
|---|---|---|
| China product catalog | Discover product families and naming patterns. | Category, source URL and one useful filter. |
| Source products from China | Trace a candidate from visual discovery to a responsible source. | Raw URL, exact code and unresolved source question. |
| Wholesale product sourcing | Compare several candidates on the same fields. | Evidence table with status and date. |
| China supplier product list | Review the range claimed by a particular page or party. | Current public identity and item-level links. |
| China wholesale price list | Understand price basis across quantities or options. | Currency, unit, quantity tier, inclusions and validity. |
These phrases describe research intent; they do not mean this independent guide sells products or verifies a supplier.
Give every saved candidate a stable identity
Store the raw public URL, exact product code, page title, neutral description, selected option and date checked. Screenshots can support the record, but they should not replace the source or hide which page published the information.
Narrow the list with four filters
- Product type. Use a neutral object name rather than a broad trend or brand label.
- Observable detail. Choose a material, construction feature, connector, capacity or shape visible in the evidence.
- Exact reference. Prefer a code, model or stable URL that survives outside the gallery view.
- Decision constraint. Add the measurement, compatibility, quantity, packing or other field that can eliminate a candidate.
Use category-specific fields after the first cut
| Category | Useful comparison fields | Frequent missing context |
|---|---|---|
| Clothing | Garment measurements, material, construction, option code and packed form. | Body versus garment sizing and fabric basis. |
| Shoes | Exact size system, internal length, width, outsole, materials and box choice. | Conversion source and whether dimensions include packaging. |
| Bags | Exterior and interior dimensions, capacity, hardware, strap and closure. | Usable interior versus widest external measurement. |
| Accessories | Scale, material, fastening range, included parts and set quantity. | One-size claims and image props. |
| Electronics | Model, connector, compatibility, capacity, voltage where relevant and included parts. | Different models grouped under one image set. |
Move candidates through explicit shortlist states
| State | Meaning | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Discovered | The candidate fits the broad category. | Find a stable identity and useful evidence. |
| Comparable | Core fields can be matched with other candidates. | Resolve one decision-critical gap. |
| Question-ready | The exact product, option and requested field are clear. | Prepare a concise inquiry. |
| Hold | A source, code or specification conflict remains. | Keep out of price and quote comparisons. |
| Removed | The candidate cannot support the decision. | Preserve the reason and stop spending time on it. |
Do not ask for every missing field at once
First close the field that can remove the product: incompatible specification, unusable measurement, impossible quantity mix or missing source identity. Price and shipping questions are more useful after the candidate can survive those checks.
A public catalog is not a promise from a supplier
A visible page does not confirm stock, ownership, authorization, current terms, seller reliability or transaction protection. If you later contact someone, verify that the route belongs to the responsible current source and keep product clarity separate from identity and payment checks.
Finish with a smaller set you can explain
The goal is not the largest spreadsheet. A useful shortlist has stable identifiers, comparable evidence, visible uncertainty and a reason each candidate remains. Archive or remove rows that depend on guessed fields.
